Design Process
Usually, a project moves through 3 stages from receiving customer’s requirements to delivery of prototypes:
1. Feasibility Study
An initial feasibility study is carried out by building a simulation model or developing a mockup unit to access the feasibility of the idea.
2. Simulation
During this stage, the design ideas are tested and refined by multiple iterations of modelling and testing with simulation software. This process will also catch possible design errors and correct them in early design stage.
3. Prototyping, Optimization and Validation
After passing the simulation stage, the simulated antenna model will be sent to production for prototype making. The prototypes will be integrated with customers’ devices to perform iterations of optimization and validation. Once the design is firm, the factory off-tool samples will be built and fine tuned for best overall performance. Final tools will also be released for mass production.
